Inside the
Studio
Leah Simpson Design is a full-service interior design studio based in Southern Georgian Bay, creating timeless, natural, and thoughtfully crafted homes across Collingwood, Thornbury, Blue Mountain, Muskoka, and beyond. Rooted in biophilic design, our work prioritizes natural materials, soft textures, and a seamless connection between indoors and out.
Our work has been recognized with multiple awards from the Decorators & Designers Association of Canada, and is featured in several local publications.
We design homes that feel lived in, loved, and deeply connected to the rhythms of everyday life.
Leah is the founder and creative director of the studio—a globally inspired designer with a passion for storytelling through space. Formally trained in interior design and grounded in over a decade of experience, she creates interiors that feel personal, layered, and deeply considered.
Her design perspective is shaped by travels to culturally rich destinations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, where she developed a love for clean lines, timeworn antiques, natural textures, and meaningful craftsmanship. Her work often incorporates bespoke, one-of-a-kind elements—from custom millwork and architectural mouldings to artisan-made objects.
A multidisciplinary artist with experience in fine art, furniture design, and photography, Leah approaches each project through an artistic lens, balancing composition, materiality, and emotion. She is guided by a lifelong connection to nature and a belief that homes should feel both restful and deeply personal—a place where beauty supports wellbeing.
Known for her warm presence, creative intuition, and ability to move projects forward with clarity and care, Leah believes that great design begins with understanding how people live and the stories they bring home.
We believe that design becomes timeless when it reflects how you live and what you love.
